William Woodruff Elementary

The school counselors at MKM and William Woodruff were very excited to welcome all the students back from the summer and introduce the kindergarteners to their schools. They popped into each class to familiarize themselves with the students, explain their role and acquaint the students with the monthly precept. The counselors are excited to present their first monthly Celebration next week which will focus on the precept, "We're Better Together". The Celebration will include a great story, fun videos, an elephant breath for the mindful minute and a reflective "think and share". There is much participation and the students really enjoy coming together and learning about the particular SEL theme that is being promoted for the month. The counselors are also currently planning for the Week of Respect and have some great ideas that will soon be shared.
